Human Resource Manager

What sport do you compete in?

Powerlifting. I was originally a soccer player and have always been associated with different sports which lead me to the sport of powerlifting. I train because I enjoy lifting weights and I feel that its very empowering for a woman to be able to be strong and have a feminine side.

What is your favourite music track to train to at the moment?

Anything but Bieber!! LOL…

What is your favourite post workout meal?

Juicy fat steak and fattoush!

What is your favourite lift or exercise?

Backsqwat.

If you could do one thing every day for the rest of your life what would it be?

Definitely travel.

What are your biggest achievements since training at Adonis Athletics?

  • Deadlifting 200kg in training.
  • Representing Australia at the World Championships in Finland at my third ever comp and placing 6th.
  • Currently holding the biggest back squat (215) and deadlift (205.5) for a female in PA.
  • Ranked 1st in my weight division.
  • Listed 5th in the top female lifters list in Australia across all Powerlifting Federations.

  • 1st place at Junior Nationals.

What do you do for work?

What sport do you compete in?

Powerlifting, originally started off doing bodybuilding after 3 years I decided to take a break from competing in bodybuilding and found a new sport to work towards, powerlifting. I become addicted to the power of becoming stronger and loved the experience of competing and setting new competition maxes.

What is your favourite music track to train to at the moment?

Radio – Beyonce.

What is your favourite post workout meal?

Burger.

Deadlift.

If you could do one thing every day for the rest of your life what would it be?

Just travel and train.

What are your biggest achievements since training at Adonis Athletics?

  • September 2013: 70, 52.5, 100, 222.5 (SBDT)
  • October 2015: 150, 80, 177.5, 407.5 (SBDT)
  • Currently ranked 1st in 72kg weight class in Australia (as of 18/6/16)
I have competed in 3 powerlifting competitions and have won:
  • 2 Gold Medals
  • 1 Bronze
  • Sydney Open Championships 2015 Best Female Lifter

What do you like about Adonis Athletics and how does it differ to anywhere else you have trained?

  1. I am allowed to deadlift.
  2. I have access to proper powerlifting equipment which you don’t have access to at most commercial gyms.
  3. I have the luxury of having one on one feedback from my coach which is very beneficial leading up to competitions.
  4. The environment, I like training with people who are training towards goals similar to mine.
  5. We are a family.

What do you do for work?

Environmental Chemist.

What sport do you compete in?

Powerlifting. At first it was for fun to keep my training somewhat consistent. Over time it became like an addictive drug where competing and making gains was the high. Now the training is more focused on becoming one of the many top lifters in the country as well as to help grow the sport within Australia. Really hope for the sport to become mainstream and its inclusion into the Olympics.

What is your favourite music track to train to at the moment?

Track to train to at the moment really depends on the mood. For deep feels: Babyface – Nobody knows it but me. For Gee-Up: Suae & Pulsar ft. Amba Shepherd – Man On The Run (Original mix).

What is your favourite post workout meal?

Pho Dac Biet (Vietnamese beef noodle soup).

What is your favourite lift or exercise?

Bench press baby!

Travel (as long as I don’t get scammed or kidnapped).

What do you like about Adonis Athletics and how does it differ to anywhere else you have trained?

You will never find another gym where it is normal to walk in with a box of doughnuts or a tray of cheesecake. No one is left behind and everyone is quality.

Any last words?
Without Adonis I would never have been the person I am today and I would never have been able to meet some of the people I call my best friends. I would be lost without these guys. I walked into the gym and said I wanted to compete no one ever doubted me. Can not thank everyone at Adonis enough.

What do you do for work?

Management.

What sport do you compete in?

Powerlifting. To stay sane in this crazy world hahahaha
I like seeing the results of what I once thought I could never achieve and trying out new methods that are designed to successfully reach my goals. Training teaches me mental focus, goal setting/achieving which carries on into my personal life.

What is your favourite music track to train to at the moment?

Don’t really have one…depends on my mood on the day.
I listen to a broad range, sometimes House Dj mixes from Deep house to trance and some days listen to Hatebreed, Breaking Benjamin, Deftones etc to UK Garage to chill out.

What is your favourite post workout meal?

Anything and Everything…but I like to indulge on Turkish Chicken Shish with Hommus Taboulli cheese and tomato salad on Fresh homemade Turkish bread…drooool.

What is your favourite lift or exercise?

Foam rolling and stretching…hahahahah jokes
Nah. I don’t really have a favourite lift, I love all 3 lifts equally (squat,bench,deadlift) as its important to have a love of all 3 to be your best at all 3.

If you could do one thing every day for the rest of your life what would it be?

If I could do one thing for the rest of my life…I have no idea theres so many…Hahahaha but if I had to choose it would be trying new experiences constantly.

What are your biggest achievements since training at Adonis Athletics?

  • Placing 1st in 3/7 comps and 2nd/3rd place in 3/7 in the past 2 years.
  • Two of those comps representing the country and placing 1st in one of them and 2nd place as best overall Opens women’s Lifter.(Asia/Oceania 2015).
  • All 7 comps I achieved personal bests lifts.

What do you like about Adonis Athletics and how does it differ to anywhere else you have trained?

The coaches and people.
The coaches always see further than what I think is my best and drive me past what I thought was my potential or what I though was my limit…They drive my goals and set the plan to make sure they get achieved.
Adonis is family. This is what I love about it. Anyone who becomes part of Adonis is welcomed with open arms and we all genuinely are interested in who you are.
The support you get from other members in the gym, at comps and outside of the gym is phenomenal. Everybody just wants you to achieve your goals not just in the training but in life too. It’s great that the same time you can relax and have a laugh between sets in training.
No negative attitudes, no judgements, no egos.
I also like that I can eat cheesecake in the gym, share lollies and not be judged.
